| Friday | | | | | | EAT: | | GO: | Cinco De Mayo at MNKY HSE | | Hackney Downs Night Market | | UV cacti murals, all the mezcal you could want and a late licence – sounds like spending Cinco de Mayo at MNKY HSE is a good bet. Choose from yellowtail aquachile, octopus and chorizo tostadas, and short rib with avocado hummus, washed down with a Mexican Old Fashioned and plenty of dancing. Book a table through their website.
| | If you’d rather a quiet Friday, opt for Hackney Downs Night Market – an eclectic mix of street food, cocktails and fashion. Stall highlights include premium hand-distilled gin from 58 Gin, Hey Dhal’s fresh and seasonal Indian plates, and Aesthetic Laundry’s colourful clothing.

| Saturday | | | | | | SHOP: | | TRY: | #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale | | Brindisa Shoreditch Rice Brunch | | This isn’t your typical car boot. Forget rummaging around for vintage pieces – the #SheInspiresMe car boot brings together fashion heavyweights like Charlotte Olympia, Matches Fashion and Vestiaire Collective for a one-day sale of samples and coveted pieces. All proceeds go to Women for Women international, and tickets are available here for £10.
| | If you’re getting tired of poached eggs and avocado every weekend, it might be time to switch up your brunch venue. Last weekend Brindisa launched their new brunch menu based around Spain’s much-loved rice dish arroces – Think rice with pork ribs and morcilla black pudding, rice broth with lobster, or paella marinera, served straight from the pan and shared with friends.
