| | …the first bit of ‘indoor weather’ we’ve encountered this summer had us scrambling for returns for The Lehman Trilogy on Friday, and after managing to get in, all we can say is GO. It’s sold out until October, so get a move on. Also over the weekend we popped our heads into the RA’s Summer Exhibition and ended up staying for hours – as you’d expect from a Grayson Perry-curated show, it’s full of colour and excitement (and very busy – go on a weekday if you can!). Now, it’s time to get reading: this week we’ve got a heads up on a new self-care haven, summer eating trends, a playlist from Salon, and an insider look at Paris from Serge et le Phoque’s Fred Peneau.

| | Hershesons | | Me, Myself and I | | Fitzrovia steps up its self care game | | Taken Pfeffer Sal for a test run and turned Mortimer House into your home-from-home? | | Prima Doner | | Kebabs 2.0 | | No, we never thought we’d say it either. But kebabs are having a moment and who are we to stand in the way of good shawarma? We’ve already been won over by the Cypriot kebabs of Ɛ́la at St John at Hackney Brewery; now we’re eyeing up crispy squid with house dukkah from BabaBoom, who are new to Islington next month. The Athenian is southbound, having just arrived in Tooting Market – souvlaki, gyros and loukoumades are the speciality here. And then there’s Pitta Bun, who are intent on re-inventing the humble pitta (charcoal slow-cooked lamb shoulder with feta sounds like it could do the trick) – look out for them in Carnaby by the end of the month.

| | Neil Campbell, ROVI | | Ottolenghi’s new venture ROVI is back open after some technical issues, and to celebrate, head chef Neil Campbell reveals his London hangouts and gives us some foodie insights.
| | Where do you go for veggie food in London? I discovered Buddha Bowl a few years ago at Wilderness Festival and followed their kick-ass kale infusions back to London. Street food is massive these days! Find Buddha Bowl at Whitecross Market, just off Old Street.
Which chef should we be watching right now? Ramael Scully of Scully in St James’s Market. There is no other restaurant in London cooking and combining flavours like this guy. It’s a must for any true foodie.
Which ingredient should we be eating this summer? Vegetables. It’s not just one about ingredient, it’s about ‘root to shoot’ cooking of all vegetables! Home grown: even better. Think zero-waste: pickling, fermenting, boiling, charring. The future’s green…
