If you know the story of Veuve Clicquot, you’ll know of its founder Madame Clicquot: a revolutionary female trailblazer who took over her husband’s business when she was widowed at 27, redefining the Champagne industry. The Widow Series is back for its fourth edition, celebrating Madame Clicquot’s rebellious spirit with an immersive experience at Bargehouse on London’s Southbank from 15th-17th November.

Curated by creative director Tom Hingston, Rebels takes the form of a metaphorical nightclub, exploring some of Britain’s key subcultural moments – drawing parallels with significant events in Veuve Clicquot’s history – across six rooms.

What to expect? Fashion, music, film and art installations – all telling the story of a musical revolution. Rebels will host collaborations from photographic/filmmaking duo Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones, installation artists Rebecca Louise Law and Anna Burns, James Lavelle, Young Fathers, and Joe Goddard of Hot Chip, with more to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now for £22 (plus booking fees, including a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label on arrival) so get booking – it’s time to get radical.
