It’s another long weekend this weekend! We may be getting blasé about them as May is of course stacked, but there isn’t another one until August, so let’s make the most of it!

Our goal this weekend is to finally get into some of the restaurants that we have been meaning to – Monty’s Deli, Brat, Smoking Goat, Leroy (this list is embarrassing, we should have been to all of these already!) and St Leonards. See you east! And enjoy the short week.

Henrietta Hop

Time to do a restaurant crawl

Covent Garden’s heating up on the restaurant scene, we’ve been hearing that for awhile now. But the other day, after a quick sprint down Henrietta Street we realised there are many greats – Henrietta Hotel, Cora Pearl (from Kitty Fischer), Oystermen (dressed oysters, bar seating), Din Tai Fung (with surprisingly no queue), Sticks’n’Sushi (fast, flavourful, reasonable), and Avo Bar (name’s annoying, menu less so) – all on one street. It’s official. Time to do a Henrietta Street hop (sorry).

Collaborates with florist Philippa Craddock

Flowers everywhere! On until 3 June

To celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show, UJ fave 34 Mayfair has collaborated with royal florist Philippa Craddock to create a vibrant, fun and celebratory floral installation at its chic entrance. Flowers in red, pink, blue and orange cascade down window boxes and railings; even the restaurant’s mascot, Penny the Panther, has top hat and collar floral accessories. There are spring inspired cocktails on offer (L’Orangerie Bloom is made with Moët Imperial Rose Champagne, yes please), and for a treat, they have of course incorporated flowers into a bespoke Mayfair Garden dessert (including cherry blossom and elderflower parfait), too. Book now, flowers unfortunately aren’t forever! Ends June 3.

Nobu Marbella and The Bodrum EDITION

Where we’re hanging

Hearing the words Casamigos and Nobu was really all we needed to get us on a plane to Marbella. And as for Bodrum, we’re already EDITION fans and had never been to Bodrum; and just back from their seasonal opening, it’s one of the best setups we’ve seen. We suggest you book in stat.

Summer of Fun

Four wine routes, June 1-30

This June, Loire Valley Wines are encouraging you to see a different side of London with four self-guided wine routes. The Muscadet route runs along the Regent’s Canal, in a nod to the wine’s affinity to seafood; Crémant lifts you up with amazing views; Rosé encourages you to view things with romantic specs; and Sauvignon Blanc is all about the terroir. Each route takes you on a fun tour where you can stop at an eclectic selection of partner venues along the way for a glass of vins.

Brunch/Lunch

Posh good times

This week we’re focusing on the posh brunch lunch with three newbies. First up, it’s a Tulum brunch series at Ella Canta (‘A’ for originality, we couldn’t handle another brunch with bottomless in the title). Launched last week, taking place on two additional Saturdays (15th June, 20th July) in partnership with Coco Tulum (beach club), the dishes will be vibrant and the tunes atmospheric. Also in Mayfair, it’s an Anatolian brunch at Rüya (menu here), and over in St John’s Wood, we think a bistro lunch at the new Corbin & King spot, Soutine, would be just right.
