Heathrow T5 - 7 days to go SHOP
Duty free shopping – the good, the bad, and the boring. It’s always something of a Russian Roulette where airport terminals are concerned - will it be World Duty Free m&ms and Boots sunscreen, or Mulberry handbags and Kurt Geiger shoes?
T5 offers only the best, including Harrods, Smythson, Tiffany & Co, and Prada. All the stores have created cool interiors and one-off products for a unique shopping experience. Both designed by FourIV, the Mulberry store ha a wrought iron tree growing along the ceiling, and Thomas Pink have a ‘Pink Business Bar’ complete with a scrolling screen of share prices. Bvlgari, meanwhile, has installed a 10 foot video wall alongside an exclusive display of vintage pieces.
UJ loves Paul Smith’s new shop, Globe, which is designed to look like a French villa with antique doors and faux-landscape outside the windows. Apart from selling Heathrow exclusive map printed bags and notebooks, the shop will also act as an art gallery and sell first edition books.
