Book Ahead: Sadler's Wells Sampled
Every now and again, one gets a wave of uncomfortable feeling that usually manifests in weighty shoulders, lank eyes, and a knotted belly. Typically this occurs after a heavy night in front of the TV, legs up, sweatpants on, at the weekend and when nobody's watching.
If you too suffer from such symptoms, I can assuredly state that what you are enduring is nothing more than a bout of common culture-centred guilt. Yet sadly, this particular strain won't stop banging on your square-eyed head until you do something about it. So here's what we recommend: get ye self off the sofa and over to Sadler's!
Now in its third year and showcasing pretty much every type of dance you can shake an un-toned leg at, take in some top-notch classical ballet with a spot hip hop, flamenco, and contemporary thrown in; all for a tenner.
Both utterly accessible and ridiculously good value, quite frankly there's no excuse . If you can't make the Sunday show (Saturday is already sold out) have a crack at one of the many dance workshops also on offer, learning moves from some of the world's best performing artists.
What've you got to lose? You still get to wear sweatpants.
