We love talking about food almost as much as we love eating it. Running across five Tuesday evenings from April-September, Borough Market are hosting a series of hour-long talks that bring together some serious foodies for a discussions about the food industry today. Tickets are £17.50 and include a selection of food from the market’s traders, so go even if it’s an excuse just to eat some produce from the market under the guise of educating yourself.

4th April: What does it take to make a good cookbook? with Felicity Cloake (The Guardian, Monika Linton (Brindisa), and Stephanie Jackson (The Octopus Group Publishers). Hosted by food writer Angela Clutton.

16th May: How the media can help your food business with Pete Lawrence (BBC), Alana Spencer (The Apprentice) and influencer Camille Kenny Ryder (Modern Milly).

13th June: Parent trap: the challenges of children’s food with Carmel McConnell (founder of Magic Breakfasts), nutitionist Amanda Ursell and TV presenter Stefan Gates. Hosted by cookery teacher Jenny Chandler.

11th July: How to join the drinks revolution with Tony Conigliaro, broadcaster Dave Broom and sommelier Catronia Felstead. Hosted by Sybil Kapoor and Dan Tapper.

12th September: Sustainable sustenance: reducing the impact of food production with Robin Gill (Good Food Guide’s Chef of 2016), Patrick Holden (Susitanable Food Trust) Caroyln Steel (Architect). Hosted by Tim Lang, the professor of Food Policy at City University London.
