It’s junk food, but not as we know it. Chef and presenter Gizzi Erskine and nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson bring ‘nutritionally decadent cuisine’ to Level 1 of the Tate Modern’s new Blavatnik Building across three weekends this winter. The menu may look chock-a-block of burgers, fries and shakes, but it is, in fact, ‘health food for hedonists’, with recipes designed to satisfy moreish cravings the way junk food does: ground beef patties and pepperoni are switched out for lentils, beans and raw bounty bars. It’s been reported that this will be the first test run before Pure Filth opens three permanent sites in 2018, so it’s likely there’s a lot more from Gizzi and Rosemary’s collaboration to come.
