Tate Britain’s restaurant Rex Whistler has teamed up with professional forager Fred Gillam once again to celebrate Britain’s truffles, mushrooms and cheeses in the iconic restaurant. Having spent 35 years scavenging for his supper, Fred the Forager (as he is affectionately known) will be giving insights into the foraging way of life, alongside Paxton & Whitfield cheesemongers and some of the UK’s finest truffles to feature on the menu, which will be matched by the Rex Whistler sommeliers with wines. That friend with the autumn birthday that’s impossible to buy for? You can all off the search.
