What do you give a restaurant for its first birthday? A collab night with Jay Rayner, obviously! For one night only, the renowned food critic will be switching his pen for pans to help Jikoni celebrate its first 12 months of service. Jay will be making the Jikoni kitchen his home on 8th October, alongside chef patron Ravinder Bhogal, where they will be cooking up a six course Indian feast. For the menu, Ravinder will be drawing on her heritage and travels, incorporating flavours from Britain, East Africa and the Middle East and Asia, all with a stamp of approval from Rayner. We’re looking forward to sampling what the pair come up with, especially as those duck and pistachio dumplings have already caught our eye.
Tickets are an £85 donation, in aid of raising money for Action Against Hunger.
