We’re rarely ones to turn up the offer of a carb fest, and London’s appetite for fresh pasta refuses to be satiated. Marcella is the latest addition to the Artusi family and well worth the 15 minute journey from Cannon Street to sample. It picks up where its Peckham sister, Artusi, leaves off; the paired-back design is there, as well as the seasonal specials and super short menu. There can’t be many better ways to while away an evening than with fresh spaghetti with courgette, mint and chilli or homemade ricotta with pickled nectarine – only perhaps by adding in a scroppino for dessert.
