Out and About: Anarchic acoustics
Fancy a taste of fashion week but don’t see yourself blagging a front row piece of the action? Then check out UJs pick of the best exhibitions, installations and happenings in the capital in honour of LFW. Catwalks are like, so mainstream, darling.
“My clothes always tell a story… And I choose the music accordingly”. With this leitmotif, Viv’s gone and created her own compilation album with 16 tracks putting the ‘Nows’ of this world to shame.
Catwalk Breakdown features the music that has accompanied her shows over the years, with a variety of styles including The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky, Personality Crisis by The New York Dolls and Great Balls of Fire by Mae West. Selfridges’ Wonder Room is hosting the launch throughout fashion week, dedicating the space to exhibiting archive pieces alongside current designs and providing listening stations for fans. Go and listen.
