Here Come The Boys
Personal Shopper is not one for playground politics; she has always played very nicely with the boys. As long as they’re appropriately attired of course…
Man Denim
Denim is an every-man staple, and for those who aren’t sure whether they’re going for a Russel Brand skinny or a Builder’s bum slouchy, help is at hand. Ilovejeans.com have recently revamped their site and introduced menswear, including super brands Kuyichi and the trousersnake’s (read Justin Timberlake) line, William Rast. For extra help book an hour’s consultation with founder Sam Remer to find the perfect pair. And if you prefer your shopping at street level, head down to Diesel’s Carnaby store which has been expanded and relaunched as the brand’s only freestanding menswear outlet in the world, stocking every fit, style and wash under one roof.

Man Grooming
The clothes may be right, but what is it they’re clinging to? For groomed perfection, the boys are getting more in-store options than us ladies, and oh, how we’re jealous. Gentleman’s Tonic have opened up their third London site inside Selfridges , with four treatment rooms and four barber’s stations offering in-store massages, facials and haircuts in a ‘reassuringly male’ environment. Down the road, Topman have started stocking grooming products by Wholeman and eventually promise to expand and include the likes of Lab Series and Elemis. City boys shouldn’t feel left out of the fun, as old-school institution Murdock’s launched a luxury shop in Deutsche Banks HQ yesterday for those between-meeting trims.

Women’s favourite online designer emporium, mywardrobe.com, are giving the boys some loving this festive season with the launch of their menswear section. Currently stocking accessories from the likes of Mulberry, Tom Ford, Rayban and Paul Smith Accessories, it promises to include a full ready-to-wear line up in the New Year. Vivienne Westwood, D&G Dolce&Gabbana, Eastpak Raf Simons, APC, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ally Capellino, Barbour, Calvin Klein, Falke, and Burlington are all in the pipeline.
