All about Italy

On the London dining front

Can’t get to Italy? No problem! London has brought a whole lot of Italy to you.

Selfridges has recently opened its Dior pop up at Alto featuring the Dioriviera print (we love), a capsule collection including deck chairs, Vespas and beach bracelets, as well as Dior touches for the restaurant. The menu is Italian and the cocktail list is a tribute to Dior. It’s already busy on the reservation front, so get in quick. Book here.

Over at the Ritz, their hidden Italian Garden is now open, looks suitably regal, and is perhaps the best kept West End secret around. We’ll be there for the crisp white tablecloths, forest green striped dining chairs, fairy lights and olive trees. Book here.

The Dorchester continues its rooftop takeover series with Francesco Mazzei now at the helm until 13 June. Here, he’ll be bringing the Amalfi Coast and Sicily to London with summertime flavours of southern Italy on the menu. There will also be a Calabrian-inspired cocktail menu (where he’s from), which includes interesting concoctions like a negroni with Whitley Neil Gin, a cocktail with Campari and artichoke liqueur, and a bellini with prickly pear, fennel and prosecco. Book here.

Harry’s Bar, St James Street, is also bringing a taste of Sicily in, with a Sicilian-inspired cocktail menu and terrace floral installation – we’ll be there for the Sicilian cannoli and potted lemon trees. Book here.

At the Henrietta Hotel, they’ve launched an Italian Date Night offer that includes a four-course dinner with pairing wines and an overnight stay. Book here.
