With the upcoming Royal nuptials and Olympics around the corner, we’re seeing a hefty array of new hotel launches. There are the big guns and the boutiques, but if you don’t want to shell out for a showpiece or delve into your pocket for designer digs, we’re liking the new ‘feels like home’ option.
The Experientialist: Lisbon on Three Wheels
We at UJ talk about city tours a lot, and the less pavement-pounding we have to do the better. Whilst we still like the blue bus tour in Barcelona even though they won’t let you take coffee onboard, what is it about anything with two wheels (segways and bikes in particular), that we hate? So when The Experientialist heard about this three-wheeled experience in Lisbon, we figured it might be the perfect compromise and knew we had to check it out. Could this be The One?
Rural Junkies: Escape the City
Whilst here at UJ we’re all about the ‘urban’, we’re also embracing our rural side. Why settle for country-caught produce trucked into London dining rooms when you could go straight to the source? And why spend another weekend in the city when you could just up sticks, don your wellies, and head out to the countryside.
