Fino
Darlings of the London restaurant scene Sam and Eddie Hart never seem to put a foot wrong, so there were many murmours of sympathy when Fino, their original posh tapas-teria, was closed due to floods a few months ago.
However, in typically resourceful style, the brothers took the opportunity to give their first-born a fresh lick of paint and liven up the menu, and tomorrow the place reopens for business.
The good thing about tapas, of course, is that it's recession friendly - have as little or as much as your wallet allows - and the menu changes daily here, according to what's fresh in, so start with favourites pan con tomate and piquillo croquetas and chase with marmitako (fish stew made with tuna and potatoes) or Pyrenean milk-fed lamb - or both, if you're feeling reckless - and other bits.
Many regulars eat at the counter from which you can gaze into the heat of the kitchen but if you prefer, have a civilised glass of sherry and a handful of salty almonds in the bar before you're led to your table for more tasty Spanish morsels.
It's good to know a little piece of Barcelona is back in NoHo.
