Daily Coverage: Gardem
Like the famous Amazons of the Fin de Siecle Paris who rode in the Bois de Boulogne, the fabulous creatures of the Gardem catwalk strode with elegant, but assured swagger. There was almost a touch of the Musketeer about them. A tiny black parchment leather corset cinched swags of cascading silk jersey, whilst mushroom silk satin stocks or cravats fell in gentle folds across finest tulle blouses. A chiffon dress with a massive band of silk satin around the hem was flung over ink black velvet trousers, a matt black wool military jacket shimmered with filigree jet embroidery. As the models twisted and turned on the catwalk they revealed glimpses of miniscule ribbon bandings and scrolls of weightless lace. Truly a stunning collection and a tour de force of creativity.
