Daily Coverage: Kisa
Making a catwalk debut is always a challenge for a designer, the Kisa collection demonstrated eclectic ideas, but not yet a sure identity. A wool top with deeply folded cape collar was shown over an Edwardian tucked and buttoned top, a black top with a draped and cutaway detail was shown with a fur pencil skirt, and a pink georgette fitted blouse with deep carnation frills were all strong items or looks. Journalists and buyers are always on the hunt for the illusive combination of a stunning catwalk collection with commercial viability, and with some of the pieces this collection was a total success. However, as a total creative statement there were perhaps too many silhouettes and fabrics fighting for our attention, but an interesting debut none the less.
