After spending a few days on the island last week, running around, checking out things that we’d been meaning to see, we can say: make the time to do that if you can! There’s nothing better than hitting the open road in Ibiza; driving through the pines and farmland; stopping at beaches and small towns; popping your head into soon-to-launch venues; speaking to shopkeepers, and attending local events. Have great weeks all.

| | | | | Happy Birthday | 27-30 June Celebrations | Partner content | | One of Ibiza’s favourite ‘chiringuitos’, and recently named one of the 22 best restaurants in Ibiza this year by Condé Nast Traveller, Beachouse has earned its place as an Ibiza fave. Originally put on the map by their Rumors beachside parties, the rave may no longer be the focus, but the sophisticated international crowd continue to come for the elevated Med cuisine, atmospheric music, and windswept, upbeat vibes. By day they have beachside yoga and luxe experiences, and by night there are moonlit dinners and special events like ARKADYAN Voyage (Sundays) and BOHO (Thursdays). For their 10 Years Weekend Celebration (27-30 June), expect a celebratory tone over the four days, with activities, surprises, and handpicked talent and musicians such as Sidartha Siliceo live. Join them on the beach for the festivities and usher in a new era. Book now!

| | | | | Aguamadera | | Aguamadera, an agroturismo that launched last year, really does feel like Ibiza 2024. Located down a dusty road on the east side of the island, they may have a chic concrete sign – but they also have a small wooden one nailed to a tree: the perfect mix of Ibiza then and now. Buzz to be let in the front gates and find possibly the chicest spot on Ibiza. Created by hotelier Pablo Fernández and Iria Urgell Calderón, daughter of Ricardo Urgell and co-founder of the Pacha Group, this 7-bed agroturismo is a true refuge. A finca that was built in 1888, everything here has been stripped back, but with an extremely stylish eye. Concrete and pines. Wood and sleek, matte black. Rooms include a converted barn; there’s an open-fire kitchen, indoor-outdoor restaurant, and of course no real reception, but staff are floating around. This is a very special place and would be an amazing venue to take over with friends.

| | | | | Roca House | | So all we know is, this is a new pool/restaurant/green space that’s close to the gated neighbourhood, Roca Llisa. We had a little look in before they opened, and it definitely has clubhouse vibes: could be fun! TBC… Now open.

| | | | | Take two | | You’ve probably heard that farms are a big thing in Ibiza. Well here are two for you to check out: for produce and special nights, Terra Masia (10-2pm); and for organic jams/hard kombuchas/animals for the kids, it’s Can Muson.

| | | | | Oriol Maspons Ibiza, 2nd Edition | | Launched at Finca La Plaza last week, if you love the Ibiza of yesteryear, you need this book. Published by IDEA, Oriol spent every summer in Ibiza from the late 1960s to the late 1980s, taking photos for fun and documenting the glory days. The book was edited by gallerist Emma Salahi and includes an intro from his son, Alex Maspons.

| | | | | Mixed Bag | | If you’re a bagel person, the Santa G Bagel House has artisan bagels and coffee and is open from 10am-3:30pm Mon-Sat. Nudo, the foodie beachside restaurant, has a great collaboration tonight with DJ Tennis and chefs Paul Delrez and Laurent Dagenais; we’d like to be there for this. Pacha has a new friends and family entrance inside the club – a digital tunnel of sorts that deposits you in the kitchen (WE LOVE) before you make your way to the club: we’d forgotten just how sexy this club is. The Fish Shack, the Talamanca great, has new staff shirts (that we’re hoping they’ll also sell soon); Ibiza Gran has a revamped spa; Urusai, a collab between Onii-san in Paris and El Silencio, is now open from 12-12 daily at Silencio; and lastly, we’ve seen the updated Ibiza airport lounge now, it feels a bit more like a re-shuffle than a reno, but it’s open again!

| | | | | Ibiza Hike Station | | Last year when we contacted Mauel from Ibiza Hike Station, he was booked up, for the summer! So it’s great to see that now there are several different group trips, of varying levels, that you can book weekly. You can still book private hikes too.

| | | | | Clap House Ibiza | | Coming this July, Clap House – from Clap brand, already in four other global locations – will be opening a huge location in Talamanca. There will be a pool with floating beds, dining options and a SEVEN Wellness Club, which has a gym, yoga/pilates studio, cold plunges, drips, a spa, wellbeing shop, and healthy organic restaurant. Sounds like a welcome addition to the island – more health is always a good thing.
