Notting Hill

Shall we call it, 3.0?

Yes, it’s another wave of new spots hitting Notting Hill. First up it’s the excellent Suzi Tros, the new bistro-style Greek restaurant by the duo who own the much-loved Mazi restaurant next door. If it’s good enough for Faye… More on our quick visit here.

Next, it’s Skylark Roof Garden, a new rooftop bar and restaurant that’s open from 11 til late, with lots of sunshine, and west London skyline views.

Over on Ledbury Road it’s the newest branch of the Face Gym – you know, where they give your face a workout – and this location has a lot more availability than, say, Selfridges, so come quick.

On Elgin Crescent, famed produce supplier Natoora has just moved in, adding their first cafe, Natoora Counter. We love what they do (they source premium seasonal produce directly from growers and supply over 800 London chefs), but it will cost you; wallets out.

Next, it’s The Hayden on Westborne Grove. It might not look thaaaat inspiring, but with good cocktails, and lobster and chips, it’s a new option. And if you live in the neighbourhood, the eight rooms are reasonable (Sept opening);  great if you don’t have space for parents or guests. Or just don’t like to host.

Troubadour is the new state-of-the-art venue (two theatres) at White City Place; it’s currently showing Peter Pan, check back for further programming, and news just in: KPH, which has been ‘reimagined’ by Harcourt Inns, is on soft launch from Friday 26 to Wednesday 31 July, with 50% off food. They will be serving dinner every night, as well as lunch Friday and Sunday, and brunch Saturday.  Book by emailing info@thekph.co.uk.
