The Hotel
Located in the relaxed Platis Gialos, should you want a disco, you’re a short walk along the beach to Scorpios, and for dinner, you’re also close to the seaside restaurants in Paranga. This is a great perfect central spot to base your MYK stay.
The Vibe
Families, couples, Euros, American – everyone’s welcome here. Loungers by the sunbeds are chic, and the hotel’s traditional structure is complemented by more modern accents throughout.
The Rooms
Largely white rooms are in keeping with the hotel’s white washed Mykonos exterior. There’s the usual Bluetooth speakers, Nespresso machines and well stocked mini bars, and many of the rooms also come with private pools or cold-water Jacuzzis.
Food and Drink
There’s an Asian poolside menu (sushi, sashimi, Asian tacos and bao) and a larger menu with everything from classics like seafood pastas and pizzas to a more traditional Greek selection, including some great Greek wines. Choose a chilled red (we loved this one) for a nice break from rosé.
Highlights
Here, it’s the little things that stand out. A ‘refresher’ (free) service, where you are asked if you want sunscreen applied by spa staff hands is a nice touch, and the concierge here really seem to have the inside track, which is rare. Want to know where the Tale of Us villa party is? She knows.
Anything Else
The views here are of course outstanding – blues for days. And the spa has Thalassotherapy, which includes three indoor pools with mineral enriched seawater. It’s not complementary, but at €30, it won’t break the bank either.
