UJ: Favourite restaurant?
David: There are so many great restaurants in Manchester, it’s impossible to have a favourite.
Pablo: I like Sugo Pasta Kitchen – it has great food and a great front of house team.
UJ: To celebrate…
David: When we’re not at the bar at CULTUREPLEX, we head to Science and Industry – they make killer drinks.
Pablo: I rarely drink.
UJ: To dance?
David: HomoElectric is really fun.
Pablo: Yes, HomoElectric, Meat Free or anything at the White Hotel.
UJ: For a bit of culture…
David: I’d head to the Whitworth Gallery.
Pablo: I’d go to the Manchester Art Gallery, Islington Mill, Contact Theatre, Royal Exchange, HOME and of course CULTUREPLEX.
UJ: For some R&R, head to…
David: The Peak District for a good walk, followed by a pint and a pub lunch in Glossop. Simple stuff.
Pablo: I’d go to The Moors, The Peak District, Glossop. As the notable Manc Thom Heatherington says about Glossop, ‘you’re never more than five minutes away from nature’.
UJ: For fitness…
David: I head to BLOK, or go for a run along the canal towpath.
Pablo: BLOK, our neighbours, obvs.
UJ: For hotels…
David: We like Native. It’s just up the stairs and the beds are super comfy.
Pablo: Yes, Native, upstairs. Loft living and CULTUREPLEX just a lift ride a way.
UJ: At CULTUREPLEX, I love…
David: How natural light floods the space during the daytime. I also love the pale blue terracotta counter and walls of the klatch.
Pablo: I love the people that are starting to inhabit it. In Manchester, I love the buildings, the people, the ambition and the potential.
