From the founders of Maison François, Café François is a more casual offering, on the foodie Stoney Street, in Borough Market.
Go here for
French brasserie classics and haute desserts in an industrial space that has a nod to traditional bistros. Neon signs outside, wooden-seat dining with namesake branded napkins/plates inside. Rotisserie chicken and pastries are a highlight (they have their own rôtisserie and executive pastry chef), as is their own wine. There are several different uniforms for staff, all in the same hunter green and pumpkin colourways. A lot of stylistic thought has gone into this two-floor abode.
To note
Their merch is great, as is their artwork on their website/wine bottles, and they have counter dining. This is a huge space; choose where you sit wisely.
