The Lowdown
It’s everything your childhood dreams were made of, but it’s in the real-life haven of Tulum and there’s a concierge. Set on the edge of tropical jungle, the treehouse is a small-scale guest house that bridges the gap between Airbnb, private residence and luxury hotel. Opt-in for breakfast in bed, or host your own dinners with the 20-person dining space on the rooftop.
The Facts
A short journey from the heart of the Yucatán Peninsula, the treehouse sits in the tropical jungle but with easy access to the Mayan ruins of Mexico’s Caribbean coastline. Designer textiles, up-cycled carpentry and Oaxacan ceramics fill the eco-conscious house with local artisan products, and the treehouse offers a pared-back base for exploring, or simply a home away from home for some serious relaxation. Once you’ve decompressed from city life, venture out into the mangrove jungle or take a trip along the beach road to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve to spot jaguars, panthers and dolphins.
