Mortimer House Kitchen

Fitzrovia adds another lifestyle spot to the fold as premium work and wellbeing space Mortimer House opens. Although you’ll need to be a member to access the house’s many amenities (including rooftop terrace, bureau meeting rooms and pilates studio), the Kitchen will be open to the public. The 90-cover restaurant will serve a Mediterranean-to-Middle Eastern menu (we could definitely be persuaded into a working lunch with charcoal cauliflower with garlic aioli and courgette spaghetti, pistachio pesto and smoked ricotta) as well as cocktails and bio-wines. As for the project as a whole – we’re intrigued. Converted by Guy Ivesha, the seven-storey art deco building aims to break the mold of co-working spaces in the city, by combining the best of private members’ clubs with work spaces.
