From the team behind Yosma and Firenze comes Hovarda, Rupert Street’s new Aegean-inspired bar and restaurant. A laidback bar (look out for the in-house DJs and live music nights on Sundays) serves signature cocktails (the Aegean already sounds like a standout hit, with fresh clementines and Campari) and a menu brought together with the help of Yosma’s Hus Vedat. Seafood rules the waves at Hovarda, with the fish menu changing daily and kept simple, served with lemon, sea salt and olive oil, or there’s crab borke, marinated sea bream with fennel and saffron, and an updated rum baba – Metaxa baba – with spiced ice cream, honey and walnuts.
