After the opening of his new drink/dine concept Cub, we caught up with the ever-innovative entrepreneur about his own drinking habits
What’s your favourite bar in London?
It’s hard to pick one – but for a long time it was Sager + Wilde on Hackney Road.
What do you order?
I’m a huge fan of putting myself in the venue’s hands – I say what I’m in the mood for and let the team pick.
Favourite international bar?
Attaboy in NYC, Bar High Five in Tokyo and Big Poppa’s Sydney – but Bramble in Edinburgh is number one.
Where do you go for a night out?
I tend to stick east – there’s always an endless list of new spots.
Hangover cure?
I gravitate to a bacon and tattie scone roll, two cups of tea (builder’s and then a real tea) and a Corpse Reviver No.2 if needed.
