There’s plenty to take in at Coal Drops Yard (Barrafina, Coal Office, Casa Pastor, Bodega Rita’s) before you even consider the retail offering but do make time for perusing impeccable boutiques. London rarely offers one-stop-shops as well curated as this (usually you’ll need to schlep across town to try out this good of a selection), but COS, Aesop, Malin + Goetz, iyouall, Superga, Twin and Wolf & Badger are all signed up. Lots of the shops at CDY are total one offs, even for multi-nationals – so go and explore the latest installation at COS’ collaborative artist platform or head into the archway of a place you thought you knew – CDY’s listed Victorian architecture lends itself to stumbling on something unexpected.
