On name alone, you might think Hide is a tucked-away, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot. You’re all wrong. Hide is big enough to get lost in – a haven for all-day dining on Piccadilly, sat facing Green Park. Spanning three floors, Ollie Dabbous’ latest opening is connected by a pressed-oak wooden staircase, linking breakfast, lunch and dinner at Ground (on street level), fine dining and tasting menus at Above (on the second floor mezzanine), and a 22-cover bar with cocktail menu from Oskar Kinberg, private dining rooms and bar snacks in Below (at basement level). Opening in partnership with Hedonism Wines, expect vino to play a big role, with Hide stocking the biggest selection of wine in London (in excess of 6,800 bottles) with 15 sommeliers and the ability to pre-book and pre-decant any of the wines available. Pretty difficult to blink-and-miss, by all accounts.
