Great to see new openings coming through! Here are some on our radar.
Over in King’s Cross, Campfire will be a new restaurant based around open-fire cooking. Expect live music and serious guest chefs (Ramel Scully, Chris Leach, Andrew Clarke) and casual vibes as this is from the Two Tribes Brewery – and, of course, smoke!
Islington’s much-loved Hot Stone – home of the 14-course omakase – has opened in Fitzrovia; Sumi, the more casual sibling to Endo Rotunda, opened via click-and-collect during lockdown to rave reviews; and Roketsu is opening in Marylebone and will focus on kaiseki (a multi-course Japanese dinner).
Skye Gyngell is opening a Spring in Notting Hill on Ledbury Street, with flowers from Kitten Grayson and biodynamic produce from Herefordshire and Hampshire. It should make a fortune and likely be an alternative to the neighbouring JOY.
FENN – no, not Marrakech’s El Fenn – by the Nest team in Hackney is opening in Fulham.
