It’s been awhile since a speakeasy has felt interesting, but SOMA just changed that. Tucked away behind a pretty, nondescript door (beside Kricket on Denmark Street) is this minimalist bar. A central brushed metal long table is where the action is; pull up a stool (don’t book a cove; you want to chat with the staff here) and watch the team work their magic. Their menu is simple – most drinks are classics with a twist – but the flavours are not. Cocktails are inspired by or infused with Indian ingredients and the ice is the good, XXL square kind, which even comes with its own branding. Open until 3AM on Friday and Saturday, this is a great, great addition to Soho.
