The Gun
Expect quick drinks to turn into loose nights at The Gun. The size of a living room, there are DJs spinning , a 1am close time on the weekends and great food (the oxtail croquettes are worth a mention), this is a neighbourhood pub that ticks all the boxes.
The Old Queen’s Head
For house party vibes all weekend, every weekend, drop into the The Old Queen’s Head. DJs, comfy sofas and food by Lucky Chip. Tables can be booked for 6 or more peeps, there’s a private room if you want to take the party up a notch and a karaoke room.
The Pink Chihuahua
Don’t ever expect to finish before 3am here. Underneath the late-night Mexican diner El Camion is where you’ll find this Mexican funhouse. The vibe here is loud and boozy and it’s mostly filled with the hospitality crowd after work looking to let off steam. It is technically a ‘member’s bar, but pretentious this is not. Simply sign up here. One…two..three…tequila!
Crazy Homies
Eight varieties of margaritas (UJ loves the pomegranate marg) and a ten-strong list of tequila cocktails, need we say more? This place has all the kitsch ME-JI-CO madness covered. We say, fill up on all manner of tacos, burritos and enchiladas before moving downstairs to the Chamucos Clubhouse and let the good times roll. Hasta luego hangover.
Queen Adelaide
There may be no replacing The George and Dragon, so we thought until we met its replacement, Queen Adelaide. Tunes blast, the staff are always friendly and the crowd is always up to party. Plus, the old boozer’s signature fittings – including paintings, life-sized cut-out figures and the famous horse’s head – have made the transfer.
