We speak to Jade about the roots and return of her much-loved brand, Jezebel.
UJ: What’s the significance of the name Jezebel?
JJ: Jezebel is my middle name and alter ego. We used it to develop the brand and to create something unique with fashion and art.
UJ: It started in Ibiza. And why did you choose there?
JJ: I was living in Ibiza when we started the brand, although it has always been international. We’ve played across the world in Tokyo, Hong Kong, St Tropez, London and Mumbai, always bringing together the best international talent.
UJ: Why are you bringing the night back?
JJ: I think there was a calling to bring Jezebel back; somehow it seemed like the perfect time. It’s times like these that we need to be uplifted and back on the dance floor, sharing what we can together, that being the love for amazing music and sounds.
UJ: And why did you choose The Tent (at the End of the Universe) as the venue?
JJ: I love the distinct sound that the system at The Tent has – the Martion from Berlin – and I love the immature nature of the place. It’s always a good time there.
UJ: If you were making a preview of the type of music that will be played on the night, what would be on it?
JJ: Press play. Playlist by @jadejezebeljagger and @ricolouisw.
Jade Jagger Presents // JEZEBEL at the Studio at The Tent (at the End of the Universe), Little Portland Street on Wednesday, 26 March. Tickets here.
