More info

We love it when this happens: staying here far exceeded our expectations. Sometimes it’s hard to show the key highlights of an apartment in photos – especially light and neighbourhood ambiance – so when they’re excellent irl, like they were here, it’s a nice surprise.

If you’re looking for a true hotel alternative, one that’s more apartment than hotel, then 65 Harley Street, by the Living Rooms group, is a great new option.

Living Rooms

An umbrella company that owns The Laslett in Notting Hill and a selection of one- and two-bed apartments in Little Venice, Mayfair and three other Marylebone locations, 65 Harley Street is their newest offering. The brand is known for its personal touch, and 65 Harley Street follows suit with 10 apartments serviced by Living Rooms.

The Vibe

They call it Marylebone, but it feels like you’re right in the centre of the West End. Ask for an apartment on the top floor, and take in the sunsets and surrounding rooftop flat views. It’s funny how quickly you feel like you live here; even with others in the building, interactions are neighbourly and keys supplied to the building’s front door makes access easy.

Highlights

These are well stocked flats. Of course, they have a full kitchen, with everything from coffee machines and blenders to dishwashers and Brita filters, but there’s also a washer dryer and top tech like smart TVs and Marshall speakers. Other highlights include soft lighting throughout (that’s truly soft); bedrooms have USB and C wall plugs and yoga mats; washrooms have Votary products, heated floors and towel racks; there’s an elevator (which not all of their apartment locations have; it’s useful when you’re travelling with extensive baggage), and central heating makes things cosy.

Anything Else

They service the apartments (changing linens and cleaning) and the team are very responsive on email, should you need anything else. They can also arrange things like chefs and special experiences, as well as access to Solice Healthcare and The Third Space, if you are staying for a while. Special rates are available for long stays, too – so ask!

Anything Missing

Just a full length mirror. We’d recommend adding them inside the closet doors.

What’s Around

It’s a great excuse to check out restaurants in Marylebone including Cavita and Taka, classics like Fischer’s and L’Entrecote, and excellent newbies like the recently Michelin-starred Lita. Plus so many more… you really are in the centre of it all; we could definitely live here.
