Amenities: Four levels of public space including a huge fitness centre and performing studio. There’s also a lobby lounge at check in, and a 5,800 sq. ft. beer garden (posh we assume)/ event deck overlooking Times Square.
The Lowdown
We’re definitely interested to see this one. Meet me in Times Square is not an oft-heard phrase from New Yorkers, but with the launch of this hotel, we’re sure it’s only a matter of time.
The Facts
With ivory halls, Bladerunner Terraces, outdoor cocoon seating and multi-level, in the sky garden greenery, The Times Square EDITION sets out to be a refuge from the chaos, that’s still part of it if you want to peer in. There will be a Michelin-starred restaurant by John Fraser called 701 West, where a charcoal grill will take centre stage (we love). The Paradise Club will be a modern cabaret, and there’s a very high-tech sounding production studio that enables ‘live simulcasts and broadcasts around the world, as well as locally to a ‘best in class’ 17,000 sf-8K-8mm Jumbotron outside of the building.’ Very 2019 Times Square indeed.
The hotel will open in preview on 19th February and launch officially on 12th March 2019.
