Not a bruncherie as such, the Ivy is eternally cosy and welcoming, and feels special, especially on a Sunday when London is at its mellowest. The à la carte menu is full of easy-going dishes such as hot-smoked salmon with Scotch quail's eggs, grilled calf's liver and onions, and asparagus with Hollandaise; or go wild with Welsh rarebit and knickerbocker glory.

Top Tip:

The Ivy is a treat, so don't be in a hurry: go with friends, blow the budget, drink champagne, and don't make big plans for the evening.
