Sushi Village

A dining and social experience.

It's a testament to this sushi shack that many of the less decorous Whistler stories start with: "Well, we were at Sushi Village …" Conceived of by three ski-mad Japanese men back in the '80s as an excuse to stay in the snow, Sushi Village is now one of the most iconic addresses in Whistler Village. The trademark strawberry sake margaritas get a lively, and sometimes rowdy, crowd going from within their traditional Japanese booth - great for large party occasions. You won't find a quiet dining experience here, but you will find absolutely awesome melt in your mouth sushi and a fun, dynamic vibe. Careful with how many Dumbo Sake bottles grace the table, the stairs are steep on the way out…

Top Tip / UJ Loves: Sit at the bar and ask one of the Chefs to recommend his favourite roll - you won't be disappointed.

Derek Heidt - Oakley Marketing Manager for Canada “My favourite place to eat is Sushi Village in Whistler - better sushi than in Japan and better parties there than most bars.”
