Gay Marriage. It's a political hot potato. Spain has said yes to same sex partnerships, and even one of my own friends 'married' in a circus tent at a gay pride festival last year. Which was nice. |

And now premier homosexualists, Sir Elton and his partner, the lovely David Furnish, have recently hinted at future ensconcement. But bold socio-political gestures aside, I'll wager that our favourite pair of taste vandals will mainly be interested in the decorations and presents. And what would the celebrity-heavy guestlist buy the couple? Aside from obvious choices such as 'his and his' towel bales, and Versace cutlery canteens, they should consider the new 'gay wedding accessories' courtesy of designer Ryan McElhinney. The evidently kitsch inclined McElhinney has chosen to celebrate the special bond between man and er, man with a multi purpose gift which can be used as a bouquet, cake or table decoration. To say that it is an exquisite example of understated beauty would be, well a lie. However the piece - which includes over 8,000 Swarovski crystals - does have a certain unabashed charm. A bit like Elton and David themselves.
