Shine it up

And so the renaissance of Livercool continues apace.

Peppered Sprout, who produce Plastic Rhino magazine, are launching their latest project, Polished T, in the city.

Basically the concept is to provide an open studio, gallery and retail space at a temporary site (in Liverpool) for the next six months, whilst launching - in tandem - the Polished T magazine, which will be a fictitious gallery space for young artists and sold nationally.

The Gallery (currently showing the work of 75 artists) gives an opportunity to any creative types wanting to make their mark (pun intended), whilst the shop will sell everything from artists materials to footwear and furniture.

Contributors to the gallery are given three-week slots to exhibit their work and will include a week-long sleepover of graf artists and the installation of a crazy golf course in the space. At the end of the six months, all the work will be documented into a book published bi-annually.

The only drawback is that it's in Liverpool. Whilst this is in no way a slight on the town of my birth, but this venture should more than justify a visit to the provinces.

Alternatively, buy the magazine or wait for the book to come out.
