If you've never had a reason to go to Peckham before, you do now. Today sees the launch of Summer Daze - not a Travolta-Newton-John musical spectacular, but a month long experiential art festival at south London's eponymous South London Gallery. |

The programme is made up of installations, workshops and child-friendly events. Choose from dropping in to 'play' with Turner-shortlisted Tomoko Takahashi (she of WordPerhect), get your dreams analysed by artist Marcia Farquhar, or making a pinhole camera with Faisal Abdu'Allah. Personal favourite? Meet An Artist: bring a packed lunch any day in August and chill with the artist du jour. Talk about up close and personal: almost makes crossing the river worth it.
