Metamorphosed

Based Upon are a design team consisting of twin brothers Ian and Richard Abel.

These two are blessed with oodles of design talent and access to a 'revolutionary new design material' called Axolotl (essentially a liquid spray-on metal that bonds to almost anything). It's a deadly combination.

You only have to look at their client list to get some idea of how hot this duo is.

They recently collaborated with David Collins to design bespoke architectural features for Nobu Berkeley (hip restaurant/good enough for David Collins, check), have a limited edition furniture range at Dover Street Market (fashion forward stockist, check), worked with Judy Blame (hail!) to design an innovative jewellery collection (collaboration with über stylist/jeweller, check), re-work design classics, (creative minds-of-their-own, check) and as of this month are due to start taking residential interior commissions (bespoke offering, check).

So these guys haven't exactly been hanging around!

The only comment we have here is - what is it with brother powerhouses lately (read W'sens, Galvin)?

Ladies, if you've got a sister, take a leaf out of the boys' book and start a company - seems like same sex siblings are proving to be good business!
