First there was Lucky Voice. Then came Gay Bingo. And now we have All Star Lanes. |

Only four days ago we predicted the rise of experiential drinking, and now interactive hospitality gets taken up a notch with the arrival of a new bowling concept that's as smooth as it's, erm, round. Situated in Victoria House off Bloomsbury Square, All Star Lanes even has a private room with its own two lanes. We love love love! There's proper food, enjoyed in the restaurant and bar or served as you play - including Louisiana crab cakes, lobster club sandwich and fillet steaks - and classic US cocktails care of Henry Besant, founder of the Worldwide Cocktail Club. Just watch your footing as you near the slippery bits. Ouch. Not since the Big Lebowski did bowling look this good and is it just me or is there something quite raunchy about bowling? The holes, the grease, the shape of the targets... Perhaps not but, as novelty factors go, it sure beats freezing your tits off while wearing a sinister-looking outfit in temperatures of minus 30.
