Fair Play
No sweat

Apparently, Londoners are top of the tree when it comes to organic and fairtrade purchases.

But although we have seemingly embraced the likes of fairtrade nosh, recycling and organic and local produce, fashion seems to have trailed behind (surprised?).

But now, it seems, is the time to rethink, and it definitely helps that eco-fashion now includes more than just sack-like hemp designs.

At the top end of the scale designers such as Stella, Boudicca and Marcus Wilmont are incorporating Ingeo fiber - created from 100% renewable resources - into their collections.

Meanwhile, the high street seems good and ready to bring fairtrade threads to the masses. For fashion staples check out Oasis, Marks & Sparks and Topshop (who currently have People Tree in store for one month to coincide with the Fairtrade Fortnight).

And while we're at it, may we also recommend a nose at Worn Again, Edun, Junky Styling and Enamore, to get that right-choice look.

And if you want to round off your feel good self, check out the 'Make Fairtrade Your Habit' exhibition, where each slebrity portrait includes a fairtrade product and quote.

And when you go to pay - need we even say - it's Amex RED all the way, as the more you spend, the more those in need will benefit. And you can't pay fairer than that.
