Dammit. Detox, we knew there was a good reason for it. Suddenly, spring is in the air, the sun is out and, boy, are we regretting that night back in January when we stopped by the chippy and never made it to the gym. |

There's still time, though, and thankfully you don't have to go to some dark sweaty dungeon/gym to do it. The Lawn Tennis Association is launching the Play Tennis campaign, which sees (some) free courts across the city available between April and October. Think of it, the pristine white skirt/short combos, shouting "love", the sweat beading on muscular, tanned thighs. Yeah, tennis is a great sport! Though, for the record, it's not like riding a bike. Just because you spent your early years trapped at summer tennis camps does not mean that you'll play like Maria Sharapova. Trust us. We've made the mistake of challenging someone to a game and then realising we couldn't actually hit the ball. (Alright, neither can Naomi, but at least she can hit something else. And hard, too. Repeatedly.) Better just to dress up in the Chanel tennis dress to have drinks courtside at the club. Fashion statement, but no sweaty effort. Spectating, now there's a sport we can really get into.

Play Tennis offers free court time on select days throughout the tennis season starting tomorrow. To dust off the rust in the game, attend the intensive tennis clinic in Hyde Park or Regent's Park this weekend |
