Question: What do Gordon Brown, Richard Branson and the Beckhams have in common? We'll give you a clue: it's got nothing to do with facial hair, speech impediments or the ability to spend money like its going out of fashion. |

In fact the answer is that they're all involved with Piers Morgan's 'newspaper for kids' which launches today. First News, which is aimed at 9 to 12 year olds, sounds like a strange thing for someone who's more commonly associated with punching Jeremy Clarkson and winding up Cherie Blair to get involved in. But then again some people might argue that Morgan has the correct mental age to appeal to the youth of today. All sarcasm aside, though, this 'junior red top' actually sounds like something which could work. With Oliver contributing healthy recipes; Beckham on sport; and Posh on what she likes to call 'fashion', we foresee fights in the playground over who gets to read First News first (and you just know the parents will be will be taking a sneaky look once the nippers are in bed). In fact, our only real problem with this whole thing is that it might spawn a whole generation of mini tabloid hacks. And that just doesn't bear thinking about.
