For those who find themselves straying into the depths of Croydon or Wembley to suss out the "new" IKEA stores (i.e, new product lines of self-assembled shite, same old stacks of queues) may we recommend a visit to a boutique that's the very antithesis to shopping en masse. |

Nestled away in the heart of Croydon Centrale, a place once strangely described by a cabbie as "the Big Apple of South London", is Fashion Enter, a boutique that stocks up & coming labels that you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere else. Launched last month the store currently stocks tasty designs from the likes of Central Saint Martins grad Lisa Larsson, leather goods from Julia Brown and no-two-ever-the-same jewellery pieces by Ruthie Orlin. Plus there's a made-to-order/alteration service for those on the hunt for that perfect fit. Regulars at Ikea Wembley - fear not, an online version of the boutique will be hitting our screens very soon. In the meantime, take a trip to the Big Apple of the South (imagination is a wonderful thing) and get well acquainted with Croydon's tramlink system.
