Ever since Andy Warhol got bored of soup cans and switched to the likes of Presley and Monroe, the art world has held a special place in its heart for the odd superstar. |

In today's world, where Heat replaces Warhol and the term celebrity is used a little too liberally, artists have a brand new seam of postmodern personality to mine. So Gavin Turk becomes Sid Vicious, Marcus Harvey's 'Myra' plays with notions of notoriety, and Tracy Emin transforms herself an art-sleb and becomes her own favourite subject. The latest example though, a project entitled 'Have you seen HIM' by artist Robert Gordon McHarg III, takes the concept of art celebrity right through the looking glass and back again. Take trip down to a certain Edgware Road underpass
right now and you'll find McHargh's 'Black Wall' depicting dozens of
portraits of YBA patron Charles Saatchi in various guises including
a Mexican wrestler, a mouseketeer and even Saddam Hussein (complete
with 'tache and beret). |

We're not sure what it means, so we'll just take McHargh's word for it when he calls the project a "David and Goliath battle over power and punch lines". Plus old Charlie looks pretty funny in a pair of mouse ears. Wonder if Nigella's seen it? The Black
