Soho used to be such a wasteland of strip clubs and "massage" parlours, but recently we've noticed a real neighbourhood renaissance, and Fernandez & Wells, located on Lexington Street is a vast improvement on all those hole-in-the-wall sandwich places and coffee chains.

Selling a combination of French, Italian, Spanish and British delicacies - think camembert, parmesan, bocadillos and, our favourite, jamon iberico - it's one of the best places in the area to pick up some supplies for the weekend, a proper lunch or after-work snack before a heavy night of alcohol abuse.
