There's nothing quite like a bit
of Marylebone at the weekend - nicely villagey but not overrun
with tourists, it's one of the few areas in London that still
make you feel as if you've stumbled across a bit of a secret.
The same could be said for Occo, a rather glam, modern Moroccan
gem tucked away from all the more obvious places. The food here
has always been amongst the best you'll find of its type in London
(and there's a lot of bad Moroccan), and now, the even bigger
plus is that there's an innovative brunch menu.
Go for French toasted brioche with rosewater crème fraiche
and summer fruits, or The Full Moroccan: merguez sausages, grilled
haloumi, herb marinated roast aubergine, roast vine tomatoes and
eggs with harissa ketchup. Sink back on the cushions and bask
in the glory that is the bank holiday weekend.
