You can't get much posher than taking the afternoon off to indulge in chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne, on the terrace at Brunello, overlooking Kensington Gardens. Or, for something a bit more butch, head for the new Gaucho
in Richmond and enjoy idyllic views of the Thames as you um and ah over
which cut of beef would go best with which Malbec. While the veranda

House is rather Great Gatsby - even if the very decent but modern

Then, in the coming weeks, you've got the long-awaited Crescent House opening (41 Tavistock Crescent, W11), that has gardens front and back and will offer a nice line in traditional British fayre; the swanky new Shoreditch House (Ebor Street, E1) that has - get this - a bar and kitchen, lounge and pool on the roof; and finally, in July, Beach Blanket Babylon opens a second site, also in Shoreditch (10 Whitby Street, E1), which basically sounds like paradise, with fountains, palm trees and tropical birds.
